Lazy Friday
So, it seems the heat is letting up a little. I can actually survive without the air conditioner on for extended lengths of time. (My electric bill for this month is going to be frightening.)
The song I'm going to try to sing for the music contest is called 花(すべての人の心に花を). Originally sung by Kina Shokichi, the version I'm doing is by 普天間かおり. As soon as I work up a decent translation for the lyrics, I'll post more about it.

Greetings from Tokyo, where it's been in the low-mid 30s and !@#$! humid. Oh well, I knew it was going to be like this ... and very, very little Canadian air to dry things out periodically.
I'm sure that the hotel that I'm staying at wouldn't be too happy with the fact that I sometimes leave a business card (instead of my room key) in the slot-by-the-door that disables the lights & air conditioning when you're gone. But I've left the room too often without the keycard to leave it there -- I'd like to avoid asking (again!) the front desk to let me back into my room. And I don't do the business card trick when I know I'll be gone for more than a couple hours.
